Greece-Albania relations/ Spahiu reveals Athens' plan for Himara

Analyst Kreshnik Spahiu spoke about Athens-Albania relations and vetoed what Greece has decided against our country because of the "Beleri" issue.

In an interview for Euronews, Spahiu said that if the problem is too principled, there could be instability for the region.

According to him, if Himara is taken over by Greece, the latter may request an association together with Dropulli and Finiq.

"If the problem was simply an individual, I say that the problem must be solved, if the problem is very principled that a Greece controlled by the Albanian government constitutes more stability than a Himara controlled by Athens and Greece that could be an instability for the region then remains to be seen. There is a suspicion in the West that all this nationalist concern of Athens for Himara, and all these nationalist claims to control Himara, could be a danger to autonomy claims. The West has to face another similar conflict like the one in the North of Kosovo, where if Himara comes under the control of Greece, it can ask for an association together with Dropulli and Finiq", he said. ./ CNA
