The head of the ILD pays an official visit to Kosovo

The High Inspector of Justice, Artur Metani, accompanied by the ILD inspection team, conducted a working visit to Pristina, where he met with leaders of justice institutions and the academic staff of the Faculty of Law of the University of Pristina.

Metani met with the President of the Supreme Court of Kosovo, Fejzullah Rexhepi, and Supreme Court Judge, Qerim Ademaj. During the meeting, the head of the ILD, Artur Metani, focused on the role and functions of the Office of the High Inspector of Justice in relation to the handling of complaints, disciplinary investigations and inspections of magistrates.

Metani and Rexhepi assessed that building and deepening professional relations between the two institutions contributes to the promotion of ethical and professional standards in the justice systems of the two countries.

The High Inspector of Justice and the delegation that accompanied him also held a working meeting at the Kosovo Judicial Council, where he was received by the head of the Judicial Council, Albert Zogaj, the deputy head of this Council, Arjeta Sadiku, the head of the Judges' Performance Commission, Teuta Brahimi, as well as the general director of the Secretariat of the Kosovo Judicial Council, Shkëlzen Maliqi.

Metani and Zogaj agreed to intensify cooperation and develop joint initiatives in the future, also through professional exchanges in their respective institutions. A special stop of the working visit of the High Inspector of Justice in Kosovo was at the Faculty of Law of the University "Hasan Prishtina", with which ILD has a cooperation agreement, since October 2022. /CNA
