For about three months, construction firms and administrators of mansions and elevators have been facing a troubling problem.

The editorial office of CNA.al has received the denunciation that the State Inspectorate of Market Surveillance has blocked the certification of elevators.

After the change of a part of the staff and the chief inspector of SIT, the complainant states that there is a stalemate in the registration of elevators.

In the name of the law, construction firms and administrators are wandering around the offices with documentation and are not finding solutions for registering elevators.

The inspectorate asks the companies for a "checklist", but the latter claim that it is not legally up to the SIT to control them.

The companies that do the certification declare that they are implementing the law, and the Inspectorate says the same.

Certification companies refuse to be audited by the SIT, as they say they are audited by the General Directorate of Accreditation and this has led to a stalemate.

This has caused construction companies to remain hostage, as they can not hand over the buildings without certifying the elevators./BA - CNA.al
