The Prime Minister, Edi Rama, at the extended meeting of the Socialist Party in Durrës, once again mentioned the amount calculated in the budget for salaries.

He said that next year the average salary in Albania will reach 900 euros, this in the public sector. The Prime Minister said that salaries for general practitioners, nurses, teachers, law enforcement officers, and the armed forces will increase again.

According to him, the private sector cannot accept the competition of the state sector to get trained people.

"The budget has 400 million salary increases. In the next year, the average salary in Albania will reach 900 euros, this in the public sector. Salaries for general practitioners, nurses, teachers, law enforcement officers, armed forces will increase again. We will raise the salaries for the armed forces above the average of the NATO armies. We have a problem, a salary formalization was made. Today we have salary increases in the private sector. The salary policy we have made has also attracted the private sector. The private sector cannot accept the competition of the state sector to get trained people. Today we are in conditions where from next year the salaries will be competitive with the countries where our young people go to work in that sector outside Albania," said Rama./ CNA
