Agreement for immigrants/ Diplomat Nesho: Doubtful, Rama has nothing to do with
Diplomat Agim Nesho

A day ago, Prime Minister Edi Rama, during his visit to Italy and the meeting with Giorgia Meloni, signed an agreement for immigrants, where two centers will be set up in Shengjin to receive illegal immigrants.

Albania will host at least 3 thousand immigrants for certain periods. Diplomat Agim Nesho reacted to this agreement for CNA .

Nesho told CNA that this is a secret, dubious deal and was made to serve Giorgia Meloni's governing program and her efforts to manage the migrant crisis.

The diplomat emphasizes that this agreement will not serve Albania but will only create a critical situation for the issue of the country's security and future social problems.

Nesho adds that if Rama's statements that "if the requests for asylum are rejected by Italy, Albania will deport him", according to him, they show how ridiculous and adventurous Prime Minister Edi Rama is.

" The Rama-Meloni agreement is a secret agreement, suspicious for its purpose and an act to serve the program of the Meloni government as well as its efforts to manage the migrant crisis. Albania does not benefit from this agreement, except for the clientelistic character of Prime Minister Rama, who continues to do what is pleasing to the international community in exchange for maintaining his unlimited power. He continues to treat Albania as a private property and a barren land where Albanians must leave and Africans help in the country's services.

From this agreement, Albania only benefits from a more critical situation for the country's security issues and future social problems that will be stimulated by an extremely large number of African immigrants who will be looking for places to live. Rama's statements that 'if the requests for asylum are rejected by Italy, Albania will deport him' show how ridiculous and adventurous our prime minister is", said Nesho.

Further, the diplomat told CNA that this agreement contradicts the Constitution and the Albanian law, as the consultation with the people, the opposition was ignored and this agreement was not presented to the parliament.

According to the diplomat, this shows that Rama has nothing to do with the rule of law.

" The Rama-Meloni agreement contradicts the Albanian Constitution and law, and the way the agreement was carried out in secret, bypassing the consultation of the people, the opposition, and the presentation of the agreement at the end of the Parliament as a fait a complie shows that Prime Minister Rama has no anything to do with the rule of law. The creation of an extraterritorial area in Albania not only contradicts the Constitution but is also punishable by the Criminal Code. This agreement creates problems with the applicability of the law in the Albanian territory, for the respect of human rights up to complicity in the case of the use of force when the immigrants may revolt against their treatment.

For Italy, this agreement must at least be approved by the parliament, but it must be in accordance with the law of the European Union as well as international law. Great Britain applied to establish extraterritorial asylum centers in Rwanda but was opposed by the European Court of Human Rights. The extension of Italy's jurisdiction to the sovereignty of another country outside the European Union creates a wrong precedent that is opposed by international law experts. According to Prime Minister Meloni, this agreement is a political arrangement that will be accompanied by the corresponding legal regulations", Nesho stated to CNA./ CNA
