"I heard Erioni crying"/ The guard's testimony about

Guard Fatjon Baci, taken as a defendant in connection with the "Veliaj" file, has recounted other details from communications made on his phone by the arrested mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj.

In his testimony, Baci is reported to have said that Veliaj cried on the phone while talking to his wife and brother.

Baci said that the reason he agreed to give the phone to Veliaj was the fear he had because of his duty.

"Erion asked me for my phone to make a call. I gave it to him and he spoke to his brother. I know I verified this later. He told his brother: "I have something to say, they have it with me personally". I don't remember the other details, but I know that he made another call to his wife, where he told her to take care of the boy and I heard Erion crying. He told her that it is not fair for the boy to grow up alone, I have not done anything wrong to the man, there is no good for the good. I gave it to him out of fear that I had, because of the power and the person he represented", - the testimony says. /CNA
