Zlatan Ibrahimovic has revealed who he wants to win the World Cup and it includes a former teammate and not a current one at Milan of course...

The World Cup is now approaching its final stage as the quarter-finals take place tomorrow, with some clashes such as England v France and Portugal v Morocco. But one of them will see Argentina take on the Netherlands, with Messi hoping to star again.

Ibrahimovic is probably expected to pick Portugal as the team he's looking to win it all for, given Rafael Leao is there, or of course France where Theo Hernandez and Olivier Giroud continue to shine.

However, the 41-year-old Swede said he wants Argentina to lift the trophy in just over a week because of Messi in particular.

"I hope that Argentina wins the World Cup for Messi, because Leo would deserve such a trophy," he said to page 433. As mentioned, they will have to get past Louis van Gaal's side having so far beaten Mexico, Poland and then Australia in the last 16.
