The FIFA scandal asks journalists not to publish Hakim's fight with Infantino

Croatia beat Morocco 2-1 in the World Cup third-place play-off on Saturday. They appealed for a penalty when Hakimi was brought down by the Croatian striker, but the referee did not award it.

After the match, Hakim approached FIFA president Xhani Infantino to express his frustrations. It is not known what exactly was said, but Hakim is understood to have raised concerns about the standard of refereeing at the World Cup.

Multiple media outlets have reported that FIFA is working to prevent the footage from becoming public.

“They wanted us to delete the images. It is clear that these are shameful scenes for them, and it is a little naive of them to think that a dozen journalists should not report on this when we are witnessing it happening", declared SVT Sports journalist Johan Kucukaslan

"He stood in front of Infantino, less than five centimeters. In a raised voice, he told Infantino about the referee. It was painful," said TV presenter Tom Egbers.
