Panic at the World Cup, the virus hits the national team

Colombia is experiencing a positive World Cup, but at the same time is facing health problems within the team.

Local media reports that a virus has affected several national team players in recent days. Coach Nestor Lozano confirmed that some players were not in the best condition ahead of the match against Ghana, while captain James Rodriguez also admitted the same.

The midfielder said the virus is strong and that the team has been dealing with this situation for some time. Despite the difficulties, James appeared optimistic about continuing the journey in the tournament. Meanwhile, Colombia has lost striker Cordoba, who was injured in the match against Ghana.

Medical tests have confirmed a left adductor injury that will keep him out for at least four weeks. This means that Cordoba will be unavailable to Nestor Lozano for the remainder of the World Cup, including the round of 16 clash with Switzerland.
