Messi doesn't stop, sets another record

Lionel Messi continues to set records at the 2026 World Cup, adding another achievement to his career with Argentina.

In the quarter-final match against Switzerland, the Albiceleste captain provided the assist from a corner kick for Alexis Mac Allister's goal. With this crucial pass, Messi reached the 10th assist in World Cup history, surpassing German Fritz Walter, who had registered 9.

The Argentine striker also counts 8 goals in the 2026 edition and remains one of the main figures of Lionel Scaloni's team.

After the match, he met with Italian legend Roberto Baggio, who received an Argentina shirt as a gift. Argentina have already qualified for the semi-finals, where they will face England.
