England qualifies for semi-finals with Bellingham double, Norway leaves with hostages

England have secured a place in the World Cup semi-finals after defeating Norway 2-1 after extra time.

Regular time of the match ended in a 1-1 draw, with the Norwegians taking the lead in the 36th minute through a goal scored by Andreas Schjelderup.

The English managed to respond before the end of the first half, when Jude Bellingham equalized after an assist from Anthony Gordon.

During the second half, Norway had a goal disallowed by Heggem after a VAR review, while defender Kristoffer Ajer hit the crossbar.

At the start of the first half of extra time, Bellingham scored his team's second personal and upset goal.

This qualification marks the fourth time in history that England has reached the semi-finals of a World Cup, while for Norway this result means elimination from the tournament.
