Ardian Ismajli is going through one of the most difficult moments in his career. The Albanian national team defender is facing a bleak period, as he has not been available for Empoli for more than two months due to consecutive injuries.

After a solid start to the season, where he emerged as a key point in the Tuscan team's defensive department, Ismajli began to face physical problems that have prevented his continuity.

The latest injury, which according to the club came during a training camp with the Albanian national team, has added to the doubts and controversy in the Italian camp about the way his physical condition has been managed.

In the last matches with Albania, Ismajli remained on the bench without being activated, which suggests that he was not in optimal form. However, his return to the club has been accompanied by a drastic decision: his exclusion from the list of players gathered, sitting in the stands and no longer on the bench.

A clear message from Empoli's management, who considered him unfit to contribute and even implied that the player should have been more careful with his physical condition.

The situation has taken on another dimension after the statement of Empoli coach Roberto D'Aversa, who after the heavy 0-3 defeat against Bologna in the Italian Cup, was asked about Ismajli's absence. His answer was cold and blunt:

"I wouldn't know how to answer this question. He had his first problem on February 2. The doctor should give the answers. He had difficulties in his return and returned injured from the National Team. It is not in my competence to judge the management he received there. He is an important player that we miss, but we need to focus on the present and the players we have available," said the coach.
