HISTORIKE/ Luiza Gega shpallet Kampione Europe, atletja shqiptare vendos rekord kontinental

Luiza Gega nuk di të ndalet duke shkruar historinë për sportin shqiptar. Atletja shqiptare sot ka bërë një paraqitje fantastike në finalen e 3000 metrave me pengesa, duke u shpallur Kampione e Europës në aktivitetin që po zhvillohet në Mynih.

Kampionia shqiptare shkoi në finale me kohën më të mirë të regjistruar në fazën kualifikuese dhe ishte pretendente kryesore për të fituar këtë garë. Këtë e tregoi më së miri duke diktuar ritmin dhe duke marrë kryesimin që pas 100 metrave të parë, për të lënë pas të gjithë rivalet që kërkonin t’i rrëmbenin nga duart një medalje që e ndiqte prej shumë kohësh.

Askush nuk mbajti ritmin fantastik të Luiza Gegës në këtë garë dhe sportistja shqiptare ia doli të kalonte finishin e vetme me kohën 9.11.31, që u bë rekordi i ri i Kampionatit Europian, duke thyer me 6 sekonda atë të vendosur në vitin 2010 nga rusja Zaripova.

Sigurisht që kjo kohë e regjistruar nga Gega është edhe rekordi i ri kombëtar në këtë disipline, pasi atletja përmirësoi kohën që kishte vendosur në Lojërat Mesdhetare pak javë më parë.
