World Cup final, Scaloni: Extraordinary journey even if we don't win

Argentina and Spain will face off this Sunday in the World Cup final.

Argentina coach Lionel Scaloni said that just reaching the final was a great achievement for his team. He praised the players and staff, stressing that the team's journey has been extraordinary regardless of the final result.

"Even people in Argentina think we can do it, it's very difficult to do it. Eternal gratitude to the staff. I hope we win, but even if we don't, this journey has been extraordinary for everyone. It's very difficult to achieve something like this. They have achieved things that once seemed completely unimaginable. Yesterday I told them that they had done something incredible and that I am deeply grateful to them.

My whole staff and I will be forever grateful. It was not easy at all to reach this stage of the World Cup and to compete for so many years at this level. I think that is something wonderful.
