"The Tourist Guide of Shkodra Region" is a manual that will help experts, students, institutions and especially tourists, thus becoming an important step for the development of tourism and the promotion of the natural and cultural assets of Shkodra Region. A publication that invites every visitor and citizen to learn more deeply about the beauties and history of this region rich in traditions and unique values.

"This publication is not simply a list of places to visit, but an invitation to discover the beauties of this region. Shkodra County includes more than just a city, but living histories in 5 municipalities. From the Alps to the blue lake, Shkodra County is a mosaic. With this guide we aimed to provide accurate information for every local and foreign tourist", said Edmond Ndou, Chairman of the Shkodra County Council.

Present at this activity, the Shkodra district MP Xhenis Çela, considered this publication a further contribution to tourism and the challenges it faces, guaranteeing that Shkodra will always have a voice in the Albanian Parliament that supports this sector and its comprehensive development.

"This publication is not only material, but an asset for Shkodra. The increase in visitors year after year proves the importance of the city. As a representative in the Assembly, I remain committed to ensuring that tourism is supported by clear and sustainable policies, so that our assets are preserved and developed and become a source of income," said Xhenis Çela, SP MP, Shkodra Region.

The Rector of "Luigj Gurakuqi" University, Tonin Gjuraj, said that tourism should unite experts and the government without political differences.

"I highly appreciate the approach and leadership of the district council because it has had a unifying approach, crossing the political spectrum. The local government-university binomial must be close and we remain engaged, so I also call on my tourism colleagues to be as close as possible to our territory in terms of tourism," said Gjuraj.

"Shkodra Region Guide" is a call to discover, invest and contribute to strengthening Shkodra as a tourist destination. /CNA
