SPAK took Balluk under investigation/ Rama: I have no comment

Prime Minister Edi Rama was asked about the news published in the media that Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku has been placed under investigation by the Special Prosecution Office.

In an interview with DW in Berlin, where he is attending the "Berlin Global Dialogue" forum, Rama said he had no comment on the case. In the excerpt of the interview posted by DW, the prime minister says that until certain issues take a definitive shape, people are innocent and unpunished.

"I have no comment on any case because, as I said, we have our work, justice has its work, and until certain issues take their definitive form, all people are innocent and are impunity from the people's court of politics and the media that serve politics ," said Rama.

A day after the news that SPAK has taken Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku under investigation, Prime Minister Edi Rama declared that "justice does its job."

Balluku is suspected of violating equality in tenders and is the second deputy prime minister under investigation by the special anti-corruption structure, after Arben Ahmetaj, on charges of corruption.
