Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg is the new owner of Launchpad, a megayacht currently docked in Fort Lauderdale, Florida after making its maiden voyage from Gibraltar to St Maarten last week.

The Launchpad is 118 meters long, about nine meters shorter than Jeff Bezos' Koru superyacht.

But Zuckerberg's name has been linked to Launchpad for several months, starting in December when reports surfaced that he visited the Feadship shipyard in the Netherlands.

Then, in early March, yacht bloggers such as eSysman SuperYachts and Autoevolution began speculating that he bought the superyacht, originally built for a sanctioned Russian businessman, at a price of $300 million.

Another clue that could indicate American ownership is that the yacht flies the flag of the Marshall Islands, a US territory and common for American buyers to register their vessels, according to public marine tracking.

If Zuckerberg had bought Launchpad, he would have joined a group of tech billionaires who own superyachts.
