The World Cup is one of the grandest events that take place year after year and of course one of the most iconic moments is the opening ceremony.
This ceremony will be held on November 20 at the "Al bayt" stadium in the city of Jor at 19:00 local Qatar time.
It is still not officially known which singers will perform this year, but for some time there have been rumors about the participation of the group BTS from Korea and the famous Colombian artist, Shakira.
But during this time Dua Lipa's name was also mentioned. This news also prompted the reaction of the singer, who clarified everything through an "Instagram" status.
"There is a lot of speculation that I will perform at the opening ceremony of the World Cup in Qatar. I will not perform and have not been in negotiations with any platform. I'll be cheering for England from afar. I will visit Qatar when it fulfills all the promises it made for human rights when it won the right to host the "World Cup" - wrote Dua Lipa.
