The well-known painter, Ali Oseku, passed away yesterday evening, at the age of 80.

Unfortunately, he lost the battle with the serious illness.

The news of the artist's death was announced by his brother, Shpëtim Oseku, who announced that the tributes will be held this Wednesday at the University of Arts.

"Ali Oseku, my mentor brother, my love, along with his idea of ??infinity, that I loved so much and cherished so much, today he left and I go to his infinity. Ooohhh how much pain, how many things escaped my soul today...

Oseku is one of the most emblematic artists of Albanian art in the last 50 years.

The painter is a Kosovo Albanian, born and raised in Tirana.

After his studies, he worked as a scenographer at TOB. In 1973, in the wave of state punishments in the field of art and culture, the artist was sentenced to prison until 1979.

Forced by the communist system, he worked as a simple worker, while with the advent of democracy, he again engaged in art.
