Safet Bajri was escorted this Wednesday by the police.

It is reported that he was first stopped in Lezha while he was driving and then he was interrogated by the Shkodra police.

According to preliminary information, the escort is related to several shots fired at an armored vehicle, an event that took place in the village of Rranxë, in Bushat.

Safet Bajri is a person with criminal records.

Bajri has been accused of drug trafficking and prostitution by the Belgian authorities, a matter for which he also served a sentence in Albania.

He was arrested in 2018 as part of the "Oasis" operation. The Belgian court sentenced him to 9 years in prison. Bajri spent 3 years in prison in Brussels and the rest in Albanian prisons. He completed his sentence in March 2023.

While in Albania, Safet Bajri has previously been accused of drug trafficking, murder, fines and blackmail.
