He shot the 45-year-old with a gun/ The police officer, Erjon Goxhara,

Erjon Goxhara, the officer who fired a firearm at the Municipality of Paris, Lorenc Kostë, surrendered to the police this afternoon.

Goxhara also handed over the weapon with which he shot Kosta, who is out of danger for life.

"Following the information given on 19.08.2024, about the event that happened near a market on "Tish Daija" street, today, around 5:00 p.m., he surrendered to the Tirana Local Police Directorate, along with the weapon of the service with which he committed the criminal offense, citizen Erjon Goxhara, 46 years old.

The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction in Tirana, for further actions", the police informs.

Goxhara shot Kosta because he suspected that the latter had an affair with his wife, who worked in the same institution as the 45-year-old.

After shooting him, Goxhara escaped and was wanted by the police for days.

Initially, he did not agree to surrender, but it seems that he has already made the decision to appear before the authorities./ CNA
