The police have finalized the coded police operation "Botulinum toxin", with the objective of ascertaining and cracking down on cases of smuggling and illegal trading of the medical product known as "Botox" from aesthetic clinics.

In the framework of this operation, controls were carried out in 30 aesthetic clinics in Tirana, where it was found that their administrators did not declare to the tax authorities the income that benefited from the injection of "Botox" to patients, as the product is suspected to be illegal and smuggled.

The police have handcuffed the administrator of the entity that smuggled and stored the illegal product, as well as supplying clinics with it. The administrators of 2 clinics are also in handcuffs.
