Laboratory in Fushë-Kruje/ Journalist: After trafficking, a well-known name

An investigation by SPAK in cooperation with the Spanish authorities has led to the discovery of a cocaine laboratory in Qereke of Fushë-Kruja.

Journalist Glidona Daci spoke about this mega-operation on MCN this evening, where she announced that the people involved in the international cocaine traffic are new names.

The journalist stated that a well-known name is hidden behind them, but did not say who it is.

"Frakulli's drug group was caught a few years ago when they brought it with organic manure, at that time it was a Colombian citizen who separated the cocaine from the manure. Since SPAK started the investigation in 2023, until now, it has conducted interceptions, photographs, investigations, had information from foreign agencies, that narcotics were coming to our territory. The animal skins were ordered through Alb-Lëkure, the administrator then passed them on to the persons arrested.

Then the cargo was ordered in May 2024. From May to July it arrived in Albania, passed through the Port of Durrës. It stayed for a month, the container was taken and sent to Mullet. The hides were taken and sent to Qereke in Fushë Krujë, where there were state-of-the-art equipment, which have a very high cost.

The last shipment arrived in November. 48 tons were made in total. The first shipment was not interfered with because the Colombian and Venezuelan did not come to divide the narcotics. The road where the first load may have stopped has not been determined, but the second one also stopped in Italy.

From the verifications, there are no persons with significant criminal record, or with a criminal past, who were filed. They are young, behind them is a well-known name, but the investigation must prove it. When SPAK made the intervention, it went to the main laboratory in Qereka. There were also two warehouses, near the Port of Durrës and the other one in the residence Kodra e Diellit 2. What impresses is the sophistication of organized crime, the methods they choose for trafficking and storage. The base of Qerek is near Rinas.
