The assassination of the former prosecutor Arjan Ndoja/ "Disintegrates" the criminal group, 6 people involved

The Special Prosecutor's Office has closed the investigations and sent for trial 6 people as involved in the assassination of the former prosecutor Arjan Ndoja, an event that happened in November 2019, on the Durrës-Tirana highway, near the Shkozeti overpass. 

At the time of the assassination, the driver Andi Maloku was also in the car, who was killed. While Arian Ndoja and Aleksandër Laho received gunshot wounds and were treated at the hospital.

From the investigations, two of the perpetrators who participated in this event have been identified, who are Redjan Rraja and Ariol Halilaj, who have been charged. 

According to the Special Prosecutor's Office, Plaurent Dervishaj, Julian Meçaj, Bledar Polovina, Amar Shkëmbi (alias Dritan) were collaborators of the defendants Redian Rraja and Ariol Halilaj. 

Julian Meçaj, Bledar Polovina, Amar Shkëmbi (alias Dritan), Ramazan Rraja and Endrit Sinani provided the conditions and material means to commit murder. 

"Also, the evidence collected during the investigation has evidenced the criminal fact that the citizens Plaurent Dervishaj, Julian Meçaj, Genti Nderjaku (alias Kili, alias Ekil), Ramazan Rraja, Bashkim Haxhija and Julian Pjetri, have consumed the elements of the criminal offenses "Ensuring the conditions and of material means to commit murder", "Structured criminal group" and "Commitment of criminal offenses by a structured criminal group", provided by articles 80, 333/a/2 and 334, of the Criminal Code, to the detriment of Arjan citizens Ndoja, Aleksandër Laho (Pëllumb Muharremi), Vullnet Muça (alias Muharremi), Genci Maloku and Arben Merkuri (Maneci), for the period after the event of 01.11.2019 (episode consumed after the event of 01.11.2019)", it is stated in SPAK notification. 

The persons under investigation are charged with the criminal offenses of "Providing conditions and material means to commit murder", "Structured criminal group" and "Commitment of criminal offenses by a structured criminal group". /CNA
