Operation "Cazino" in Korça is finalized / 10 people are

The "Cazino" operation to crack down on gambling activities has been finalized in the city of Korça. As part of this operation, 10 citizens were arrested, three of whom were owners of premises where games of chance were organized.

The other 7 people arrested were customers who were caught red-handed playing games of chance. A sum of money, 9 computer monitors, mobile phones and tablets were seized.

" The police operation codenamed "Cazino" is finalized

10 citizens were arrested (3 of them were bar owners after being caught red-handed in 3 bars, organizing games of chance, using computers and mobile phones, and 7 others were customers playing games of chance). 9 computer monitors, 13 mobile phones, tablets, and a quantity of money were seized as material evidence.

Specialists of the Economic and Financial Crime Sector, in cooperation with the Crime Investigation Specialists of the Korça Police Commissariat, with the support of the "Eagle" Special Force, in continuation of their work to identify and crack down on illegal activity in the field of gambling, have organized and conducted the police operation codenamed "Cazino".

As part of the massive operation, 3 cases of gambling through computers and mobile devices were identified and cracked down on, where the following citizens were arrested in flagrante delicto:

-KL, 21 years old, Gj. P., 36 years old, and AM, 57 years old, residents of Korça and Mborje, for the criminal offenses "Organizing illegal lotteries" and "Making premises available for illegal games".

- LM, ER, ES, EK, MK, RM, and AT, for the criminal offense of "Organizing illegal lotteries", all residents of Korça.

"These citizens were caught red-handed during the operation while organizing and playing games of chance through machines and placing sports bets. The procedural materials were passed on to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction in Korça, for further action ," the police announced.
