The Israeli army plans to divide the northern part of the Gaza Strip

The Israeli army is planning to divide the northern Gaza Strip, where attacks have intensified since October 6, forcing residents to flee en masse.

According to Anadolu, the Israeli army has stated that the displaced will not be allowed to return to the north of the partitioned zone for an indefinite period of time.

According to the report of the Israeli state television KAN, a senior military official has given details to journalists regarding the tense situation in the north of Gaza. This official announced the plan to create a new corridor that will separate Gaza City from the northern regions such as Beit Lahiya and Jabalia, thus dividing them into two parts.

Furthermore, it has been emphasized that humanitarian aid will not be allowed to enter the regions of Beit Lahiya and Jabalia, which are cut off from Gaza City. Displaced Palestinians will not be allowed to return to these areas, leaving them displaced in the south.

Israeli army ground attacks in Jabalia and Beit Lahiya have continued intensively since October 6, with over 1,800 Palestinians killed and thousands displaced as a result.

It is being speculated that this plan to divide northern Gaza and restrict access to essential resources such as food, fuel and clean water is an implementation of the "Generals' Plan" aimed at expelling Palestinians from this region.
