The Biden-Sunak meeting focused on deepening economic cooperation

President Joe Biden held a meeting with the Prime Minister of Great Britain Rishi Sunak, who is on a visit to the United States. Among the main issues discussed by the two leaders are the deepening of economic cooperation between the two countries as well as Russian aggression against Ukraine.

This is their fourth meeting in as many months and comes at a time when Western countries are trying to determine whether Russia is responsible for the destruction of the Nova Kakhovka dam in Ukraine's Khreson region.

After the meeting, the two leaders are expected to hold a press conference, an opportunity not afforded to every leader who visits the White House. It is also reported that they will issue a joint statement.

White House spokeswoman Karine Jean-Pierre said Wednesday that the two leaders will coordinate efforts to strengthen the economic security of the two countries.

According to announcements by British officials, the talks will also include cyber security, while Britain is expected to hold the first high-level meeting this fall to discuss how to mitigate the risks of artificial intelligence through internationally coordinated action.
