United States President Donald Trump will welcome Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to the White House on July 7.
The information was confirmed by Reuters on Monday evening.
The visit comes at a time of high tensions in the Middle East, centered on the war in Gaza and recent US-Israeli attacks on Iranian nuclear facilities.
This comes as President Trump has begun to increase his pressure on the Israeli government to broker a ceasefire and a hostage deal and end the war in Gaza.
Netanyahu's visit follows the visit of Israeli Minister for Strategic Affairs, Ron Dermer, to Washington this week for talks with senior administration officials on a ceasefire in Gaza, Iran and other issues. /CNA
