The director of the Office for Kosovo in the Serbian government, Petar Petkovic, has underestimated and rejected the international demands for the immediate release of the three Kosovar policemen kidnapped by the Serbian forces.
Petar Petkovic said that it will be the Serbs of northern Kosovo who will decide how to proceed in the coming days.
"We are shocked by the demands of the USA and Britain, which ask Serbia to release the arrested policemen, and no one mentions the fact that it is necessary to release the innocent Serbs. You see what hypocrisy. We do not decide when the policemen will be released, we are a state of law, this is decided by the prosecution and the court. This is not even decided by the embassies," he said.
Meanwhile, we recall that two days ago DASH demanded the unconditional release of three members of the Kosovo police detained by Serbian forces.
The spokesperson of DASH, Mattheë Miller requested that "both sides (Kosovo and Serbia) should follow the three-point plan presented by the EU"./ CNA.al
