The President of the United States, Joe Biden, has announced that he will compete in the presidential elections of 2024.

He made the announcement through a video message. Biden said abortion rights, protecting democracy, voting rights and social security will be top issues during the 2024 presidential race.

He said voters will be faced with a choice between whether the new generation will have "more or less freedom" and "more or less rights".

"Every generation of Americans has faced a moment when they had to stand up for democracy, stand up for their personal rights, stand up for voting rights and civil rights. This is our moment," said Biden.

Unlike the slogan of the 2020 election campaign, when Biden said that Americans were "in a battle for the soul" of the nation, the slogan for the 2024 election says: "Let's get the job done."/ CNA.al
