DECISION/ Amounts of money for military personnel with missions and training

The decision approved yesterday by the Council of Ministers to ensure the lives of the personnel of the Armed Forces of Albania, who are sent on military missions and training abroad, is clarified.

In this decision, monetary benefits are specified for all FA employees, who are sent on military missions and training abroad, for the years 2024, 2025 and 2026.

Decision:

1. The Ministry of Defense ensures the lives of the personnel of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Albania, who are sent on military missions and training abroad, for the years 2024, 2025 and 2026.

2. The life insurance of the personnel of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Albania, who are sent on military missions and training abroad, for the years 2024, 2025 and 2026, is made according to the contract related to the insurance company, selected according to the established rules in the legislation in force for public procurement. This insurance covers events in cases of:
a) loss of life due to duty or as a result of accidents during its exercise;
b) extinction;
c) health damage, resulting in permanent, total or partial disability, as a result of an accident during the duration of the military mission and training abroad;
ç) health damage, resulting in temporary, total or partial disability, as a result of an accident during the duration of the military mission and training abroad;
d) medical services in public or private hospitals inside and/or abroad, when health coverage is not provided in public hospitals.

3. The amount defined in the insurance contract, for each insured person, is not lower than:
a) 10,000,000 (ten million) ALL, for cases of loss of life due to duty or disappearance of the person;
b) 12,000,000 (twelve million) ALL, for cases of health damage resulting in permanent disability;
c) 5,000,000 (five million) ALL, for cases of loss of life, as a result of accidents during the exercise of duty;
ç) 50,000 (fifty thousand) ALL, for cases of health damage, resulting in temporary disability.

4. The standard conditions of the insurance contract, including the table of benefit coefficients against bodily injuries, approved by the Financial Supervision Authority, serve as minimum, mandatory conditions to be implemented by insurance companies.

5. The financial effects, resulting from the implementation of this decision, are borne by the budget of the Ministry of Defense./ CNA
