Tensions in the North/ Begaj calls Vjosa Osmani, the conversation unfolds
President of the Republic Bajram Begaj

The President of the Republic, Bajram Begaj, held a telephone conversation with the President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, while he followed the events in the north of Kosovo with concern.

During the conversation with the Kosovo counterpart, the President welcomed the measured decision that the Kosovo authorities took in close cooperation and coordination with international partners, to postpone the implementation of the reciprocity decision with Serbia on the issues agreed earlier.

Kreu i shtetit nënvizoi se vendimi shmangu një provokim të rëndë për stabilitetin e Kosovës, veçanërisht në këtë situatë të ngarkuar me kërcënime e rreziqe të mëdha e të shtuara, për paqen dhe sigurinë e rajonin tonë pas agresionit rus në Ukrainë.

Ai gjithashtu tha se i bashkohet thirrjes së aleatëve në NATO dhe partnerëve ndërkombëtare për vijimin e dialogut të ndërmjetësuar nga Bashkimi Evropian, për normalizimin e marrëdhënieve midis Kosovës dhe Serbisë.

"Only through a constructive and intensive dialogue will it be possible to properly address all open issues between Kosovo and Serbia. Albania will continue to contribute with all its possibilities and capacities to the preservation of peace and stability in the region, as well as to strongly support the continuation of the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia", underlined President Begaj during the telephone conversation with President Osmani. /CNA.al
