Sot  bëhen 100 vjet nga vendosja e marrëdhënieve diplomatike shqiptaro-amerikane

Kryeministri Edi Rama ka uruar e këtë përvjetor me anë të një postimi në rrjete sociale.

“Mirëmëngjes dhe sot, në ditën e fiks 100 vjetorit të lidhjes së marrëdhënieve diplomatike me Shtetet e Bashkuara të Amerikës, jo vetëm ju uroj ditë të mbarë, po edhe mbrëmje të bukur të gjithë atyre që do jenë sot në Sheshin Skënderbej”, shkruan Rama

Marrëdhëniet diplomatike midis Shteteve të Bashkuara të Amerikës dhe Shqipërisë u rivendosën më 15 mars 1991, pas një ndërprerjeje prej 52 vjetësh.

 Fillimisht marrëdhëniet diplomatike midis dy vendeve ishin vendosur më 28 korrik 1922.

Marrëdhëniet Shqipëri-SHBA fillojnë në vitet e hershme të shekullit të XX, kur Presidenti amerikan Woodrow Uillson i ofroi mbështetjen e nevojshme dhe të domosdoshme shtetit të ri shqiptar, për njohjen e tij./CNA.al
