The network hit by SPAK/ How Albanians trafficked 50 tons of cocaine within 3

In the official announcement made about the crackdown on the cocaine trafficking network, SPAK also revealed details about how the trafficking was carried out.

The investigations carried out have revealed that for the period 2019-2021, the group trafficked at least 50 tons of cocaine to Latin America, Brazil, Belgium and the Netherlands.

SPAK reports that investigations have proven 5 episodes of cocaine trafficking in large quantities. During these 5 episodes, a total of 8.9 tons of cocaine were seized, for the period 2019-2021.

In addition to these 5 episodes, SPAK reports that members of the group have trafficked dozens of other tons of cocaine, from which they have benefited from considerable income.

The prosecutors in this case are Klodjan Braho and Doloresa Musabelliu.

Regarding the arrest warrants issued, some of them have not been executed by the police because they have not been found. It is suspected that these people have been living outside Albania for a long time.

During the years 2019-2021, this group operated in Latin America, Brazil, Belgium and the Netherlands. The investigations conducted have led to suspicions that the suspects trafficked at least 50 tons of cocaine during the above period.

During the investigation, the necessary evidence was collected, from which 5 episodes of cocaine trafficking in large quantities were proven. During them, a total of 8 tons and 960 kg of cocaine-type narcotics were seized, specifically:

Episode 1 – May 11, 2020 – Trafficking of a quantity of 700 kilograms of cocaine-type narcotics, seized in the port of Waasland (Antwerp), Belgium, found in a container with car spare parts, unloaded from a ship arriving from China.

Episode 2 – June 6, 2020 – Attempted trafficking of 2,010 kilograms of cocaine, seized in Guayaquil, Ecuador. The narcotics were destined for the Netherlands and had three different logos stamped on them (Jaguar, Eagle, and BB).

Episode 3 – August 16, 2020 – Trafficking of a quantity of 1100 kilograms of cocaine, seized in Rotterdam, Netherlands. This shipment had arrived at the port of Rotterdam on a sea vessel from the Port of Guayaquil, Ecuador.

Episode 4 – December 16, 2020 – Trafficking of a quantity of 4.1 tons of cocaine, seized in the port of Rotterdam, Netherlands. This cargo had arrived in the port of Rotterdam on a sea vessel from the Port of Guayaquil, Ecuador.

Episode 5 – February 3, 2021 – Attempted trafficking of a quantity of 1 ton and 50 kg of cocaine, seized in Colombia with final destination France.

Investigations have shown that in addition to the above episodes, members of the criminal group have trafficked dozens of tons of cocaine from Latin America to European countries, which has been trafficked and traded to other persons. Considerable income has been generated from this activity.
