Defendant Plarent Ndreca continues the old song

The lawyer of Erion Veliaj, the SPAK defendant in the GJKKO, in the trial on the issue of the reconstruction of several police stations, Plarent Ndreca, continued the old song again today in the court session.

While there is talk of a summary trial, of equality before the law, of the fact that Erion Veliaj is seeking a fair, open trial to prove his innocence, the scenarios for postponements of hearings continue.

Plarent Ndreca repeats the same old song, "we want a live camera session." In fact, GJKKO is not a political show like the ones Erion Veliaj used to do for propaganda, while he ate and drank, his powerful meetings or inaugurations were shown live somewhere in the media.

As actually happened on the day of the arrest, where the media were broadcasting his inauguration, when in fact Erion Veliaj was in his office at the Municipality of Tirana and was handcuffed.

Plarent Ndreca continues to say that he was not given the files. In fact, all the materials were obtained electronically, and by court decision they were sent to him in print. Erion Veliaj initially refused to receive them, then claims were raised about some files that do not belong to Erion Veliaj at all, but belong to other subjects under investigation.

And in the end, the "cherry on the cake" is the cage, Avaz continues to repeat, because he will not go to the session if he does not come out of the cage. The same demands have been made by Ilir Meta, the same demands have been made by the former Minister of Health, Ilir Beqaj. The latter, for a matter for which there is a light security measure, is outside the cage, while for a matter for which there is a heavier security measure, he is in the cage.

CNA has also shown the Strasbourg Court's decision regarding the cage issue with documents, but apparently these are old songs of the defendant Plarent Ndreca, Erion Veliaj's lawyer, who continues to indefinitely postpone the hearings.

While on the one hand they say they want a quick trial to present evidence in front of the court to refute SPAK's claims, they delay the trial with old songs, with old demands, with old scenarios, which are no longer even newsworthy./CNA
