Today, Albania marks another historic moment in the European Integration Process, the opening of negotiations with the European Union for the first group chapter.
Prime Minister Edi Rama declared from Luxembourg that Albania will finally sit on an equal footing with the EU.
Rama emphasized that Albania is moving up very quickly and will complete the tasks from the EU on time.
The number one of the government stated that the skeptics of Europe have already understood that the Western Balkans should join the EU.
"I think that Albania will sit on an equal footing with the EU.
We are committed to EU principles. We have been North Korea in the middle of Europe. There is a change in the approach of the EU towards us.
We are moving fast, I believe we will climb very quickly.
Finally, the EU allowed us to open the first chapter.
