Former Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias has reacted to the passing of Archbishop Anastasios Yanullatos.

Kotzias expressed that he had very good relations with Archbishop Anastasios and also shared spiritual concerns and long discussions.

"A wise friend, Anastasi, has passed away. With shared spiritual concerns and long discussions. He insisted that this was due to our positive experiences at the radical University of Marburg, where he completed his studies and I later taught. With Bushati's help we resolved all his chronic problems with the Albanian authorities so that he could continue his work without hesitation. Alexis and I supported him in everything he needed in this and in everything he asked for." /CNA
