The Minister of the Interior, Taulant Balla, has reacted regarding the arrest in Fushë-Kruje of citizen Elmir Tufa.

Balla says that there are still many people wanted, serious events without perpetrators, and old murders that cannot be forgotten if the perpetrators do not face justice.

"Another high-risk person, wanted for murder, was arrested today by the Operational Force of the Tirana Police Directorate. We must not forget that we still have many people on the lookout, serious events without a perpetrator, and old murders that cannot be forgotten if the perpetrators are not brought to justice. Congratulations for today," writes Balla on social networks.

Elmir Tufa is accused of murdering Shkëlzen Kastrati.

The latter was executed on the morning of February 1, 2021 in the village of Sheq in Fier. He was shot by a Range Rover type car, which after the murder was found burned at Mbikalimi i Baltza.

It is suspected that the event is related to an old clash between the Binjaku and Kastrati families, due to the involvement of his brother, Klementi, in a revenge saga with Ermal Binjaku./ CNA
