Albert Nasto, the chairman of the small and medium business association, stated today at the table of the head of the PD Sali Berisha with experts that the business spends 50% of the profit just to pay for electricity.

He said that in many countries some taxes were removed and business was stimulated with direct financial intervention, while in Albania no one batted an eyelash about the fuel issue.

“Jemi vendi me karburantin më të shtrenjtë, 4-5 në botë. Janë gati 9 taksa mbi karburantin. Sot paguajmë gati 1260 lekë për litër karburant, gjë që nuk ndodh askund. Në një kohë kaq të rëndë krize dhe dalje nga pandemia me forcat e veta të biznesit të vogël dhe të mesëm, nuk u bë asnjë favorizim. Në shumë vende u hoqën disa taksa dhe u stimulua biznesi me ndërhyrje direkte financiare. Në Shqipëri nuk e luajti kush as qerpikun, për çështjen e karburantit.
Me rritjen e karburantit u mbyllën mijëra biznese, u mbyllën edhe në pandemi me mijëra. Qeveria shqiptare vazhdon të tregohet indiferente me largimin e mijëra shqiptarëve. Një nga arsyet që janë mbyllur mijëra biznese sot, janë çmimi i karburanteve dhe i energjisë elektrike.

How much do businesses pay in Albania? We have divided them into 4 categories of businesses that pay for electricity today.
The first category spends, every business, including clothing, pays from 1.8 to 2.6 million lek for electricity per year.
In the second category, entry, coffee bars, restaurants, fast food, etc. They pay from 8 to 15 million ALL for energy per year.
The 3rd category of businesses pays from 15-25 million ALL per year. It is an unaffordable amount.
The fourth category pays from 30-60 million ALL per year. Every business pays the Albanian government.
The main category is occupied by businesses, cafes, restaurants, fast food, etc. 35 to 50% of its profit, the business pays for electricity", declared Nasto.
