The dress was previously worn by iconic Marilyn Monroe in 1992 to sing "Happy Birthday" to President John F. Kennedy.

The dress's Instagram account has released some photos where the damage is clearly visible, such as the "lack of crystals" or the "thread coming out of the dress" that she received before and after the Met Gala.
