Optus në Australi pre e sulmit kibernetik/ Ekspozohen të dhënat e klientëve

Kompania e dytë më e madhe e telekomunikacionit në Australi, Optus, ka raportuar një sulm kibernetik.

Sulmi ekspozoi emrat e klientëve, datat e lindjes, numrat e telefonit dhe adresat e emailit.

Kompania, e cila ka më shumë se dhjetë milionë abonentë, thotë se e ka mbyllur sulmin, por jo përpara se të hakoheshin detaje të tjera si patentat e shoferit dhe numrat e pasaportave.

Optus thotë se të dhënat e pagesave dhe fjalëkalimet e llogarisë nuk janë komprometuar.

Kompania tha se do të njoftojë ata që janë në "rrezik të shtuar", por të gjithë klientët duhet të kontrollojnë llogaritë e tyre.

Datat e lindjes dhe detajet e kontaktit ishin aksesuar, "në disa raste" numri i patentës së drejtimit dhe në "një numër të rrallë rastesh pasaporta dhe adresa postare" ishin ekspozuar gjithashtu.

Kompania kishte njoftuar Policinë Federale Australiane pasi kishte vërejtur "aktivitet të pazakontë".Dhe hetuesit po përpiqeshin "të kuptonin se kush ka hyrë në të dhënat dhe për çfarë qëllimi".
