The tourist season during the summer makes most of the local vacationers choose the sea.

Korça offers other tourism, which is preferred by foreigners.

"Regarding the normal local tourists that is lacking, because Korça does not offer the same tourism as the coast, Korça is a mountain town, there is usually winter tourism, but generally there is a decrease in the number of local visitors. For foreign tourists, there is an increase in the number taking into account the easing of pandemic measures and everything else", says Vilson Demko, hotel receptionist.

“Të huaj ka pasur gjithmonë që vijnë vizitojnë Korçën, pastaj është kjo pjesa shumica viziton vendet bregdetare, kanë qejf pjesën e detit, Korça ka pjesën e emigrantëve të huaj, që kanë qejf qetësinë dhe kulturën e Korçës. Ka pasur ndikim ekonomia pasi duket që turistët që vijnë në Korçë janë pothuajse të gjithë të huaj, shumë pak janë shqiptarë”, shprehet Armando Gena, menaxher hoteli, informon Euronews.

Turistët e huaj e zgjedhin Korcën për disa aryse. Më kryesorja është qetesia që fal qyteti dhe fshtrat piktoreske.

"I come from Belgium with my girlfriend. We love Albania, especially the people here, they are very kind, they have helped us a lot. We started from Belgium, then to Vienna, Belgrade, Bari and now Korça. It was recommended to us by friends. We came by public transport, we used train and bus. I am surprised by your hospitality and it is a place that gives you relaxation, I like it more than the sea", said a Belgian tourist.

Last year, around 90,000 tourists were accommodated in Korça, in the 111 hotels that this city has. /CNA.al
