The Work Capability Assignment Commission, through a decision of the last few months, has penalized a large part of disabled and quadriplegic people in Elbasan.

As a result of the decision taken, there has been a halving of the payment for incapacity for work, for a significant number of people who benefited from this social scheme.

Based on the situation created where no one has taken into account their demands, the tetraplegics and disabled people in Elbasan have started a hunger strike, which according to them will continue until the problem is solved.

Based on VKM no. 78, people who have definitive injuries, without prospects of improving their health, are declared permanently disabled and do not have to appear before the Higher Medical Commission.

But this commission has harmed these people, because a good part of them are heads of families and the halving of the salary makes it impossible for them to meet their medical needs. /CNA.al
