Disa nga sëmundjet më vdekjeprurëse që kanë goditur njerëzimin vijnë nga patogjenë që janë transferuar nga kafshët te njerëzit, megjithatë, studimi më i fundit shkencor britanik ka treguar se njerëzit transmetojnë dy herë më shumë sëmundje tek kafshët sesa tek njerëzit.  

Virusi që shkakton HIV kaloi nga shimpanzetë te njerëzit dhe shumë ekspertë besojnë se virusi korona e ka origjinën nga lakuriqët e natës. 

Në studimin e ri, u ekzaminuan pothuajse 12 milionë gjenome virale dhe u zbuluan pothuajse 3,000 raste të viruseve që kaluan nga një specie në tjetrën, raportoi Reuters. 

Nga këto, 79 për qind e rasteve përfshinin një virus që transmetohet nga një specie kafshësh në tjetrën.

Pjesa e mbetur prej 21 përqind e viruseve përfshinin njerëzit, nga të cilët 64 përqind ishin transmetim nga njeriu te kafshët ose antroponoza dhe 36 përqind ishin rezultat i transmetimit nga kafsha te njeriu ose zoonoza.

Hulumtimet nga Instituti i Gjenetikës në Londër treguan gjithashtu se kafshët e egra kishin shumë më shumë gjasa të merrnin viruse nga njerëzit se çdo mënyrë tjetër./CNA
