Fan Noli University has signed a cooperation agreement with the Polytechnic University of Tirana, in a meeting held between the two rectors and representatives of the academic senate.

The purpose of this cooperation is related to the exchange of experiences of pedagogues, not only among the students of Korça, but also more widely, as well as new trends for joint programs.

In his speech to the media, the rector of the University of Korça, Dhimitër Bello, showed the innovations that this cooperation between universities brings.

"We just signed an agreement between the universities. The framework agreement includes many points of cooperation, including the opening of joint programs. Something concrete, as working groups of specialists of the respective programs will be established, which are innovations and may be unique in the country to be opened specifically, the University of Korça and the Polytechnic University have the appropriate academic capacities to help us in this part. The profiling process is not up to us, other structures are involved, but when we say unique programs, it means that it will be a special program of which is automatically profiled and remains", he told CNA Bello.

Even for the rector of the Polytechnic University Andrea Maliqari, the agreement aims to establish a new stage of cooperation to advance the development of higher education.

" It is an agreement that aims to raise cooperation to a new stage. Of course, the changes that have occurred in the development of higher education in Albania but also in Europe require a new vision regarding universities and in this aspect I look at it very important that internationalization, cooperation are two very important elements that advance the development of higher education.

Foreign universities create the opportunity for us to integrate in Europe and advance with the development of programs, but one university cannot go alone in the development of higher education, we must go together.

Today we are signing an agreement aiming at new trends, at joint programs in the exchange of experiences of pedagogues, not only of Korcar students but also beyond", he said.

The meeting lasted more than an hour in the premises of the rectorate of the University of Korça, where this cooperation was discussed, and then the agreement between the parties was finalized.

It is not yet known if the programs will be ready next academic year, as according to the rectors this is a long process and must be oriented in the right way to offer high quality and standards./ CNA
