Kosovars return to Pogradec for the weekend

Tourists from Kosovo

Weekends in the southeast of the country are the busiest period during autumn and winter. There are many locals and Albanians from the region who visit Korça, Voskopojë and Pogradec through tourist agencies. In Pogradec we find Kosovars from Gjakova and Prizren who have returned to the city.

"We come from Gjakova. It is the second time. We were behind last year as well. We liked it a lot, so we came back," said a gjakovar.

The tranquility, the beauty of the lake, nature, people, food and cleanliness are some of the elements that make Kosovo Albanians return to Pogradec again.

"Pogradec is a European city, clean. If it continues like this, there will be a lot of tourism," said the Albanian from Kosovo.

Already, Kosovo's tourist agencies have an important part of their tours to the southeast destinations and every weekend there are dozens of buses that land in the southeast of the country./ CNA
