The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, commented today on the judicial process being conducted against him regarding the 'Partizani' file.

Invited to the show 'Opinion', Berisha stated that he is not afraid of the trial because he considers it totally illegal.

"I am not afraid for my trial. It is totally illegal. I was tried by a judge, who based on the documents could not be a judge. It is a trial based on a criminal. She was convicted in Greece. She has carried out Troplini's order. She has a political motive and mission only with me. In this whole problem, I am relieved by the vetting that is being done to me. And for this I am the only politician. No legal violation has been found," said Berisha.

Berisha also focused on the situation of former President Ilir Meta, with whom he said he has indirect communication.

"I have indirect communication with Ilir Meta. Because I'm talking to him, they put him directly in the regime. I accuse you of a man doing prison and not coming out, I find it impossible," Berisha said. /CNA
