He tried to jump from the Buna river, the police prevent another tragedy

A person tried to jump from the bridge to the Buna river this Friday, in an attempt to drown himself.

According to an announcement from the Shkodra police, the immediate intervention of the Road Traffic Patrol, which was on duty in the territory at that time, prevented the serious incident.

Police Notification:

Today, on 23.08.2024, the Road Traffic Patrol, while patrolling the territory, found a citizen at the Buna Bridge who was making suspicious movements and trying to jump from the Bridge into the Buna River.

The Road Traffic Patrol of DVP Shkodër notified the "Shqiponja" forces and immediately went to the citizen who was trying to jump into the river.

As a result of the quick intervention, the incident was prevented and the 49-year-old V.N was taken to a psychiatric hospital to receive the necessary medical assistance, as the verifications showed that he was suffering from mental health./ CNA
