"Road" wreaks havoc with fines/ 162 suspended permits, dozens arrested

On the occasion of the beginning of the new school year, the Traffic Police, during the past week, has increased measures in the vicinity of schools in urban centers, with the aim of respecting the white lines, in the direction of controlling vehicles transporting students, etc. 

Also, during the past week, numerous checks were carried out in order to prevent driving under the influence of alcohol or in a drunken state, for speeding beyond the allowed rates or for wrong overtaking, as well as other violations of the rules. of road traffic.

As a result of the monitoring on all road axes, 24/7, using intelligent Polish vehicles, automatic radars, high-quality drones and draggers, during the week we left behind:

- 162 driving licenses were suspended, for speeding above the permitted rates, for driving under the influence of alcohol/in a drunken state, and for driving in the opposite direction;

- 42 drivers were arrested for driving while intoxicated and for driving without a driving license.

Also, 19,948 administrative measures have been imposed across the country, for a series of detected violations, such as speeding over the allowed rates, wrong overtaking, using a mobile phone while driving, not wearing a seat belt, driving in the effect of alcohol, wrong parking and non-use of protective helmets by motor vehicle drivers, etc.

The Traffic Police appeals to all drivers of vehicles and motor vehicles, for strict implementation of traffic rules, to give priority to pedestrians and not to perform wrong overtaking or dangerous maneuvers, not to use mobile phones while driving and to put on the seat belt.
