The criminal group is hit/ Dozens of kilograms of drugs are seized

The head of the Local Police, Tonin Vocaj, in a statement to the media, has informed that within the framework of the operation Temple 4, a criminal group that distributed drugs in schools and nightclubs was hit.

According to the data, 1.8 kilograms of cocaine, 18 kilograms of marijuana, 350 doses of synthetic drugs, ecstasy, LCDs, mobile devices and cars were seized.

"The Local Directorate of the Tirana Police, in implementation of the measures defined in the school security package and the priority of the State Police, in order to guarantee an environment as safe as possible for students and to prevent negative phenomena in the future, has developed checks and operations to hit elements or criminal groups that try to develop criminal activity involving young people.

The Narcotics Investigation Sector in the Local Directorate of the Tirana Police, following successive operations developed to prevent, identify and combat criminal activity in the field of narcotics, and following the nationwide mega-operations Temple 1, 2, and 3, based on intelligence informative, has referred the materials to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of Tirana General Jurisdiction, which has registered 2 criminal proceedings.

After a several-month investigation with special investigation methods by the Narcotics Investigation Specialists at the Tirana Local Police Directorate under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Tirana, legal evidence was provided to document the criminal activity of 28 citizens.

On the basis of the evidence obtained during the investigation, the first phase of the "TEMPLE 4" operation was organized and finalized, in which 24 people were caught and imprisoned, 9 of whom were previously arrested and are being investigated with the measure of personal security "Arrest in prison" without time limit, while 15 have been arrested today. Also, work continues to catch 4 other citizens, followed by search measures.

During the operation, citizens Vilson Tresa, Asllan Maqellara, Etgent Luzi, Kostandinos Deliu, Armand Haderllari, Blerim Biba, Ilir Tufa, Kevin Kolgegaj, Marios Saliaj, Damjan Hasani, Erblin Buci, Ervis Duro, Jurgen Xhafa, Aldo Grabovari, Gazmend Hoxha, were arrested. Sajmir Gerbaj, Aleksander Kili, Orgest Beqo, Xhelo Ajasllari, Paolo Shyti, Ervin Rakipi, Erdi Kurti, and Adrian Ramushi.

 During the investigation, the following were seized as material evidence:

- 1.8 kg, narcotic cocaine;

- 18 kg, marijuana narcotics;

- 350 doses, with suspected synthetic narcotics, ecstasy and LCD;

- mobile devices and vehicles of citizens involved in this criminal activity.

The investigation showed that these citizens were distributing narcotics near schools, in nightclubs and other places frequented by young people, in different areas of Tirana. Narcotics Investigation Specialists at DVP Tirana under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction Tirana continue the investigative actions for the complete legal document of this criminal activity and for the identification and bringing before the legal responsibility of the other persons involved.

I take the opportunity to congratulate the Anti-Narcotics Sector and the Sector of the Special Forces of Special Operations and Research for the quality investigations with the application of special investigation methods carried out this year and encourage them to continue these investigations in the future.
